Welcome to Resume Adjuster. By accessing or using our website at resume-adjuster.com and the resume tailoring tool (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Resume Adjuster provides an AI-powered tool that analyzes job descriptions and rewrites your resume to better match the requirements and keywords of the role. The Service allows you to input your resume details manually or by uploading a file, paste a job description, and receive a tailored resume output that you can edit, copy, or download.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or effectiveness of the generated resumes in securing employment, interviews, or any other outcome.

2. Eligibility

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 16 years of age.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
• You are not located in a jurisdiction where the use of the Service is prohibited by law.
• All information you provide to the Service is truthful, accurate, and belongs to you.

3. User Accounts (Future Feature)

Currently, Resume Adjuster does not require account creation. In the future, we may introduce user accounts with additional features. If and when accounts are introduced, you will be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to the following:

• Accuracy of information - you are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the resume information you provide. You should not submit fabricated employment history, qualifications, or credentials.
• Lawful use - you agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to creating fraudulent resumes, impersonating another person, or violating any applicable employment laws.
• Review of AI output - you acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unintended phrasing. It is your responsibility to thoroughly review and verify all generated content before submitting it to employers, recruiters, or any third party.
• No misuse - you agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service; not to use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service; and not to interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure.
• File uploads - any resume file you upload must be your own and must not contain malware, viruses, or malicious code.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all resume information, job descriptions, and any other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership over Your Content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the resume tailoring functionality.

5.2 Our Intellectual Property

The Service itself - including its code, design, layout, branding, logo, text, graphics, and overall user experience - is the exclusive intellectual property of Resume Adjuster and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

5.3 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or feature requests you provide regarding the Service may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you. By submitting feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use it for any purpose.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers for certain functions, including AI processing, cloud hosting, and analytics. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of these third-party services. Your use of the Service constitutes acceptance that data you submit may be transmitted to and processed by these providers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Resume Adjuster and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Missed job opportunities or failure to secure employment.
• Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated resume content.
• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities.
• Any action taken based on information provided by the Service.

If you are dissatisfied with the Service or these Terms, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that the resumes generated will result in interviews, job offers, or employment.

9. Fair Use and Abuse Prevention

We are committed to providing the Service to as many users as possible. To ensure fair access, we reserve the right to:

• Limit the number of resume generations per user within a given time period.
• Block or restrict access to users who we determine, in our sole discretion, are using the Service excessively, abusively, or in violation of these Terms.
• Take technical measures to prevent automated access, scraping, or denial-of-service attacks.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Resume Adjuster and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service.

12. Termination

If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely matches the intent of the original.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Resume Adjuster regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
